About Denis Benic- 

Denis is a technologist who specializes in building products at the cutting edge of the intersection of hardware and software – things like sensors and embedded devices. After college, he worked at Telsima Inc, a multinational company building WiMAX solutions. He was quickly promoted to the executive level and was the company’s youngest director, overseeing development of secure IT solutions spanning the company’s operations in Silicon Valley, Europe, and India. Following the company’s sale to Avid Networks, Denis and the President of the company co-founded Livecliq in Silicon Valley.

As the VP of Engineering, Denis developed a cutting-edge real-time three-screen multimedia platform enabling live streaming from mobile phones and web portals with a team of 25 engineers in Silicon Valley, Eastern and Central Europe – this was before the smartphone came out and done on the flip phone. Following the sale of Livecliq, Denis founded Printbox in Europe, which develops a cloud-based printing platform based on a print kiosk, combining cartridge-less green printing and cloud data conversion. Denis left Printbox to return to Silicon Valley to co-found Ink with Jonathan Manzi, which develops a robotic version of Fedex Office and cloud-based document rendering services.

Denis and Jonathan created a solution for Enrique Lores, the current CEO of HP, which helped eliminate hacks in enterprise printers utilzing blockchain technology and hardware signatures. Seeing the need to apply the solution to all IoT devices, Benic, Manzi, and other investors and advisors in ink started Beyond Protocol in 2018, to secure IoT devices and allow them to communicate cross-silo.
